October was not a boring month for AIA Peconic, our Members and friends. We were delighted to host a one-credit virtual presentation by Perfect Earth Project on nature-based landscaping. The Women in Architecture Committee hosted an engaging two-credit architecture scavenger hunt / walking tour of Greenport, followed by a delicious happy hour. How many AIA events include a ride on a carousel? (Pics attached for proof of fun.) And to round out the events and programs, Timber Trading Group sponsored a CEU presentation and we held our Annual Meeting in Sag Harbor.
The Annual Meeting was efficient, but an important opportunity to acknowledge what we have accomplished year and to look ahead. Board President Ben Chaleff gave a report on our year and the following persons were elected to serve on the 2026 Board.
- Past President: Benjamin Chaleff, AIA
- President: Pamela Glazer, AIA
- Vice President: Christopher Jeffrey, AIA
- Treasurer: Frank Guittard, AIA
- Secretary: Steven Sanabria, AIA
- Associate Representative: Leo Ellis, Assoc. AIA
- NYS Representative: Marjorie Goldberg, AIA
Congratulations and thank you for your dedication to AIA Peconic, our Members, and the community.
Read on for information about our upcoming study presentation hosted by the Emerging Professionals Committee, as well as TWO can’t-miss save-the-dates.
