Please join us for a Gallery Talk with the Artists this coming Wednesday, August 4 on Zoom.  Regional artists Felix Burgos (Oceanside), Linda Hacker (Brooklyn), and Scott McIntire (Greenport) will be discussing their works in the Urbanesque exhibit and their connections with New York City.

The City in Art – New York, Paris, Venice, Delft
Masterworks from the Renaissance to the Present

Take a whirlwind tour of some of the great cities of the world as seen by leading artists from Vermeer (Delft) to Turner (Venice), Manet (Paris) and onward to Joseph Stella, Georgia O’Keeffe, and the Urbanesque artists (New York City), with your guide Charles A. Riley II, PhD, Director of the Nassau Museum of Art.

Free event, reservations are required.

Enjoy a creative summer as the Gallery presents summer workshops and studio visits with regional artists.  Registration is open for the following events.  Each event includes either breakfast or afternoon bites.

Join the Gallery for a private visit to the east end studios of contemporary artists. This is a wonderful opportunity to have a behind-the-scenes peek at the artists at work, to chat about their techniques and influences, and to see their current projects.

Workshops at the Gallery:
Saturday, August 14, 10:00am – 12:00pm: Wet into Wet Watercolors with Hector deCordova

This workshop is designed for all levels and Hector will be teaching the crucial elements of Wet Into Wet watercolor technique. The purpose of the workshop is to give the artist a path into creativity. It is designed to loosen up the experienced artist and send the inexperienced artist in an exciting and productive direction.

Our next exhibition delves into the imaginative worlds of national award-winning artists Richard Aardsma, Laura Dodson and Marisa S White as they present fictional narratives through photomontage, still life and scenic design that observe nuances of nostalgia, surrealism, and the human condition.
