The Arts Center at Duck Creek is pleased to announce an off-site winter mini music series at the Sagaponack Farm Distillery, with tickets priced at $20 per concert (all proceeds support Duck Creek’s free summer programming) or $50 for a three-show bundle. Duck Creek’s music series has long been a rare chance to hear rising musicians and new work in an intimate setting. Our galleries go quiet each winter, but thanks to the generosity of Sagaponack Farm Distillery, we’re able to keep the music alive with a special run of Sunday afternoon concerts from 3–5 PM in the distillery’s beautiful Tasting Room.

Our first concert takes place Sunday, December 21, with the Peter Watrous Quartet, featuring Duck Creek’s music curator Peter Watrous on guitar, Chaz Martineau on saxophones, Charlie Lincoln on bass, and Willis Edmundson on drums. The quartet brings a dynamic, free-spirited approach to jazz, balancing deep musical knowledge with playful improvisation. Their sets are conversational, surprising, and full of momentum—four musicians listening closely, pushing one another, and discovering new ideas in real time.

On Sunday, January 4, we welcome the Emmanuel Michael Trio. Michael blends jazz, soul, and West African rhythms into a sound that feels warm, inventive, and unmistakably his own. His playing—rooted in early years singing in church and the musical traditions of his family—moves easily between delicate melodies and driving grooves. His performances are intimate, open, and deeply expressive.

Our final concert on Sunday, January 25 features Julieta Eugenio, an Argentinian tenor saxophonist, composer, and bandleader based in New York City. Known for her warm tone and thoughtful improvisation, she moved from Buenos Aires to the U.S. in 2013, earned her master’s at Queens College, and quickly became a standout on the
NYC jazz scene. Her trio’s debut, JUMP (Greenleaf Music, 2022), won the DCJazzPrix International Band Competition. Eugenio has performed with Johnny O’Neal, Leon Parker, and the touring production SW!NG OUT, and has appeared at Dizzy’s Club, SummerStage, and the Joyce Theater. She was nominated for Best New Artist at the Jazz Music Awards and named one of GRAMMY Magazine’s “10 Jazz Emerging Artists to Watch.”

All proceeds from the series support the Arts Center at Duck Creek’s programming. Since 2018, we’ve presented 59 exhibitions featuring 85 artists, 57 concerts with more than 230 musicians, and 59 community events in partnership with over 26 local organizations – ALL FOR FREE!
