Bay Street Theater Announces 2026 School Vacation Camps for Young Performers
SAG HARBOR – Bay Street Theater has announced two School Vacation Camps for 2026, specially designed to align with local school vacation schedules and provide a full day of creative, structured programming for young performers. Each camp runs 9:00 AM–3:00 PM and culminates in an informal final presentation for family and friends.
The first camp, “My Life: The Musical!” (ages 8–13), runs February 16–20, 2026. Students will create, rehearse, and perform an original musical of their own design in just one week. Campers work together to brainstorm themes, craft a story, build characters, and select or create songs, while developing skills in acting, singing, and dance through theatre games, improvisation, and guided rehearsal.
The second camp, Scenes and Songs Revue! (ages 8–14), runs April 6–10, 2026. Students collaborate to create a mini musical revue packed with scenes and songs, tied together by a fun unifying theme. Through theatre games, rehearsal, and ensemble-building, campers strengthen performance skills and stage presence as they bring their work to life for a final sharing at the end of the week.
Both camps are led by Bay Street Theater’s Director of Education and Community Outreach, Bethany Dellapolla, a professional teaching artist, director, and choreographer based in NYC and Long Island with extensive experience in youth theatre education and performance.
Registration is open now. For more information and to register, visit baystreet.org. For camp questions, families may contact bdellapolla@baystreet.org
