“Pay What You Can” Preview of Mister Halston

Opens Bay Street Theater’s Summer Season

Bay Street Theater will continue its commitment to community access

with a special “Pay What You Can” preview performance of the World Premiere

production of Mister Halston on Tuesday, June 2 at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the Pay What You Can performance will be available in person at the Bay Street Theater Box Office beginning at noon on the day of the performance and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. The program allows theatergoers to purchase tickets at a price they can afford, helping make professional live theater more accessible to the community.

“Pay What You Can is an important part of who we are as a year-round theater,” says Tracy Mitchell, Executive Director of Bay Street Theater. “On Pay What You Can nights, someone may choose to pay a very small amount and still experience professional live theater here in Sag Harbor. At the same time, those who love theater and have the ability to give more can do so, knowing that their support helps us continue creating opportunities for even greater access throughout the community.”

Written by Raffaele Pacitti and directed by Michael Wilson, Mister Halston stars acclaimed actor Matt McGrath as Roy Halston Frowick, the visionary American designer who helped define modern fashion and became a symbol of the Studio 54 era. Produced in association with Tony Award-winning producer Bruce Robert Harris, the World Premiere production explores Halston’s rise, reinvention, ambition, glamour, and ultimate fall.

From the rehearsal room to the runway, from private ambition to public legend, Mister Halston invites audiences into the world of a man who changed fashion forever.

Mister Halston runs June 2 through June 21, with performances Tuesday through Sunday. The Pay What You Can preview performance will take place Tuesday, June 2 at 7 p.m. at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor. Tickets are limited and available in person at the Box Office beginning at 11 on the day of the performance.
