Toast some of the East End’s most impressive teenaged musicians at this year’s Music Masters Concert, which marks the culmination of an intensive 6 weeks fifteen prodigal musicians spent together under the guidance of Bakithi Kumalo. MLK Portrait Gallery Opening

Local high school students memorialize the efforts of our nation’s civil rights leaders with Unity through Artistic Collaboration in the annual MLK Portrait Project. This year’s fifteen 4’x4′ mosaic portraits featuring Mahalia Jackson, Rosa Parks, Sam Cooke, Nina Simone, Maya Angelou, John Lewis, and Aretha Franklin are on view every Saturday 2/18-3/4. Each portrait is up for auction to support the EEA Scholarship Fund.
