IN MOTION, East End Arts & Humanities Council’s [EEAC] final exhibition at its flagship gallery located at 133 E. Main St. before the Riverhead Town Square revitalization construction on the property begins, opens this Saturday with record-breaking participation from the artist community.  The massive exhibition offers quiet viewing hours from 12PM-4PM, followed by an opening reception with the artists and community from 4PM-7PM.

EEAC kicks off each year with its Annual Elizabeth Richard Memorial Members’ Show, in honor of its founder and first Executive Director. Every Member is invited to join the non-juried art exhibition with a single piece, connected by a single theme. For this milestone year, artists creatively celebrate the concept of movement, inspired by the upcoming temporary relocation of its fine art gallery and the long-awaited revitalization of Downtown Riverhead. Over 140 artists of all ages and abilities submitted works for IN MOTION, in a variety of mediums, including narrative and non-narrative paintings, works on paper, sculpture, photography, ceramics, collage, fiber art, and video.

“The annual Members’ Show is always so full of energy and so demonstrative of EEAC’s mission to connect our community,” notes Wendy Weiss, Executive Director. Weiss coordinated her first Members’ Show, Dan’s Reimagined, in 2022 with 41 participating artists. “It is equally exciting and humbling to see so many participants come together to celebrate each other and their beloved gallery this year.”
