Our most successful Summer Soirée yet! Together, our community raised more than $120,000, helping fuel another year of exhibitions, arts education, performances, and community programming.
October:
The Downtown galleries showcased two juried shows, its first contemporary fiber art show and another focused on climate change, while two new Satellite Gallery exhibitions opened, showcasing local artists and strengthening community partnerships across the East End.
November:
The 39th Annual Harvest Gospel Concert brought the community together for two inspiring evenings of music, celebrating one of
East End Arts’ longest-running traditions.
December:
We took an exciting step forward by signing the lease for 48 W. Main Street, the future home of the Andy Tarshis Fine Art Gallery, creating a new space where creativity and community will continue to thrive.
January:
“In Motion,” the Elizabeth Richard Memorial Members’ Show, opened the year by showcasing the work of more than 140 local artists, celebrating the creativity of our community alongside the relocations of our operations.
February:
The 6th Annual MLK Portrait Project opened at Floyd Memorial Library in Greenport, showcasing powerful mosaic portraits of civil rights leaders created by Long Island high school students in honor of Black History Month.
March:
Three Satellite Gallery exhibitions opened, connecting local artists with new audiences and continuing our mission to make art accessible throughout the community.
April:
Talented young musicians stepped outside their comfort zones during Music Masters, a tuition-free jazz intensive under the mentorship of professional jazz musicians Olivia Foschi and Bill Smith, and The Forward Frame event marked a community celebration of the 133 E. Main gallery space… “until we meet again.”.
May:
MOSAIC Festival celebrated its 30th anniversary, bringing artists, musicians, local businesses, and thousands of community members together in downtown Riverhead.
June:
We celebrated talented high school performers at the 24th Teeny Awards, while our summer exhibition DETOUR VII opened in the new Andy Tarshis Fine Arts Gallery and 11 W. Gallery at Peconic Crossing.
July:
In partnership with the North Fork Audubon Society, we opened
The Bird Song Project: A Sculpture Trail, bringing art and nature together for a unique outdoor exhibition.
