There is no such thing as an instant garden. The essence of gardening is that of patience, persistence, and care.
Anyone who toils in the dirt sees the potential in every seedling to become a glorious spectacle of nature.
Museum work is a lot like gardening. It requires patience in the time it takes to plan and see exhibits come to life. It requires persistence in the planning of events and programs for positive outcomes, and care about history, our offerings, and most importantly the public.
However, we are not in it alone. You are gardeners with us. Through your involvement, you help us to grow more sustainable. Following a challenging 2020, we remain dedicated to the public by sharing numerous online programs (Influential Women Series, Make it Mondays, Ask a Curator, and more) and safe events in person such as Votes for Women and Aglow.
Whether financial support through donations, museum visits, or event attendance, your involvement, helps us grow. We are planning safe events this 2021 season and more great online programming and could use your help to “spring into action.” How can you help?

Join us in our efforts to preserve the beauty and rich heritage of our East Hampton landmarks for future generations. Your generous donation will help to:
• Restore and preserve our 17th and 18th century buildings and landscapes in the East Hampton Village Historic District, and our Marine Museum in the Town of East Hampton, including ongoing architectural, archaeological, and historical research.
• Fund educational and cultural programs for students, families, visitors, and all members of our community.
• Interpret for our community and our visitors, life from colonial times to the present day through reenactments, special events, and exhibitions.
Consider sowing the seeds by giving to our nonprofit. We hope to see you at one of our summer events or museums this summer.
