COMEDY

JULIO TORRES: COLOR THEORIES

SUNDAY, AUGUST 24, 8 PM

presented by Guild Hall & Murmrr

Spend an evening with comedian/actor/director/writer/style-savant Julio Torres as he brings his singular vision to Guild Hall. From SNL staff writer, to co-writer & showrunner of HBO’s cult favorite Los Espookys (with Fred Armisen and Ana Fabrega), to writer-director of the A24 surrealist comedy Problemista (with Tilda Swinton and Isabella Rossellini), to creator and star of HBO’s Fantasmas, Torres is one of the hottest commodities in the comedy world.

Join Julio as he blends stand-up, design, and dream logic into a whimsical exploration of color, emotion, and identity—equal parts comedy and art piece.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE…

MORE COMEDY

HAIRY SITUATION: A COMEDY SHOW BY ALOK

SATURDAY, JUNE 28, 8 PM

presented by Guild Hall & Murmrr

Flippant and Fabulous. Wicked sharp and delightfully silly. This is Hairy Situation.

Being trans and Indian? A textbook hairy situation. But since textbooks are getting banned left and right, we can’t say that anymore. In their brand-new standup show, ALOK finds themselves tangled in all kinds of hairy situations—being mistaken for a mega-famous Brazilian DJ, botching TikTok makeup tutorials, and, perhaps most terrifying of all, signing up for an appointment at the European Wax Center (aka Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets Department).

Expect incisive wit, unexpected twists, and the kind of unfiltered comedy that makes you laugh, think, and maybe even cry (but in a fun way).
