Chris will give an overview of the ongoing classes and programs for the rest of 2021 and 2022. Roberta Shoten, Executive Director at Hallockville, will discuss the beginnings of the Hallockville Honeys, their exponential growth and the continuing bee life here at Hallockville.

We are pleased to offer two levels of beekeeping taught by Master Beekeeper Christopher Kelly, owner of N.F. Promise Land Apiaries.

BEEKEEPING 101:
This is an introductory class designed to give the students a working knowledge of bee biology and equipment. The six part series will prepare the student how to keep bees and be successful. This introductory class will prepare you to start your own hives! All your initial questions will be answered and more than you ever wanted to know about BEES!

BEEKEEPING 201 – YOU MUST HAVE TAKEN BEEKEEPING 101 to continue
This course is designed for the beekeeper who already has bees or has taken the 101 class. We cover the challenges the beekeeper faces as they guide their hives through winter, swim management and hive increases. In addition we will have you studying your hives, preparing for the winter, and the life of your BEES year round at your site. Inspection protocols and the latest BEE technology based on recent advances in beekeeping will be discussed.

Hallockville Museum Farm is a not-for-profit organization and the Country Fair is the largest fundraiser of the year. Your admission supports education programs, historic restoration, special exhibits, upkeep of 19 historic buildings on 28 acres of preserved land, friendly farm animals and so much more!
