LOOPERS: THE CADDIE’S LONG WALK on Saturday, June 1 at 7:30PM

Guild Hall of East Hampton

Narrated by the most famous member of the Caddie Hall of Fame: Bill Murray. Centuries old and enjoyed by tens of millions of people worldwide, golf is seen by many as more than a sport. Yet what do we know about the other person on the course? The man or woman behind the player carrying the bag. In a narrative never before covered in any feature length documentary, LOOPERS: THE CADDIE’S LONG WALK explores the incredible personal bond that a golfer and a caddie develop through hours of time together.

LATE NIGHT

Director: Nisha Ganatra

Written by: Mindy Kaling

Runtime: 102 minutes

A late-night talk show host’s world is turned upside down when she hires her first and only female staff writer. Originally intended to smooth over diversity concerns, her decision brings about unexpectedly hilarious consequences as the two women who are separated by culture and generation become united by their love of a biting punchline.

FRAMING JOHN DELOREAN

Directors: Don Argott, Sheena M. Joyce

Runtime: 109 minutes

Money, power, politics, drugs, scandal, and fast cars. The incredible story of John DeLorean is the stuff of a Hollywood screenwriter’s dreams. But who was the real John DeLorean? To some, he was a renegade visionary who revolutionized the automobile industry. To others, he was the ultimate con man.

For the first time, FRAMING JOHN DELOREAN recounts the extraordinary life and legend of the controversial automaker, tracing his meteoric rise through the ranks of General Motors, his obsessive quest to build a sports car that would conquer the world, and his shocking fall from grace on charges of cocaine trafficking. Interweaving a treasure trove of archival footage with dramatic vignettes starring Alec Baldwin, FRAMING JOHN DELOREAN is a gripping look at a man who gambled everything in his pursuit of the American Dream.

LOOPERS: A CADDIE’S LONG WALK

Director: Jason Baffa

Narrated by: Bill Murray

Runtime: 81 minutes

It is often said that a good caddie does three things: show up, keep up and shut up. But a great caddie wears many hats. They’re the player’s psychologist, mother/father figure, technical advisor and confidante. The film unveils the working dynamic between famous partnerships like the heartfelt story of Tom Watson’s and caddie Bruce Edwards. Conversely, it delves into the making of a caddie’s career with stories like Greg Puga — a young Bel Air Caddie from East Los Angeles who fought his way to Augusta to play in the Masters as a Mid-Amateur Champ. Whether familiar or new, these are stories that will make you re-think the way you look at Golf, and especially the job of the Caddie.

LOOPERS: THE CADDIE’S LONG WALK is a visual tour de force shot on the iconic courses of Pebble Beach, Augusta National, St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Prestwick, Ballybunion, and Lahinch. Crafted in the spirit of documentaries like 20 FEET FROM STARDOM, JIRO DREAMS OF SUSHI, and STEP INTO LIQUID, the film is a must-watch document of the game of golf as you’ve never seen it before.”

A THOUSAND THOUGHTS

Written and Directed by: Sam Green and Joe Bini

As Green tells the multi-decade and continent-spanning story of the groundbreaking string quartet, Kronos revisits its extensive body of work, performing music by George Crumb, Aleksandra Vrebalov and many others.

Together on stage, Green and Kronos interact with the stirring cinematic imagery on screen to craft an important record and exploration of late 20th– and early 21st–century music. Transcending the typical live music and film event, this collaboration quickly becomes a meditation on music itself—the act of listening to it closely, the experience of feeling it deeply, and the power that it has to change the world.
