RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AT THE PLAYHOUSE
The gymnasium in the Playhouse is offering a full schedule of indoor recreational activities once again, including yoga, pickle ball, and more. Click here to view the schedule on the Town’s website.

AN EPIC DAY OF SEPTEMBER SURF
According to Surfline.com, due to the effects of hurricane Larry, the waves on September 10th “may go down as the best day of surf for the whole East Coast in a very long time.” Click to view their great video of Mikey DeTemple surfing in Montauk on that epic day.

FALL FESTIVAL WEEKEND RETURNS
Fall Festival Weekend returns to the village green Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 9—10. The clam chowder contest will take place Saturday at 11am and a variety of other happenings are planned, including live music, kids rides, food vendors, and more. More info.

PIRATES AT THE LIGHTHOUSE!
“Kings of the Coast,” an interactive pirate adventure show, will perform at the Lighthouse over Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 9—10, with shows on both Saturday and Sunday. Also at the Lighthouse that weekend, there will be a book reading for young people by author Margreit Maitland. More info.

TYLER VALCICH MEMORIAL CAR SHOW & CRUISE
Taking place October 10th at the Amagansett Firehouse, this event benefits the Tyler Project; promoting suicide awareness, education, and prevention for young people on the East End. More info.

MONTAUK LIBRARY’S FALL DONATION CAMPAIGN
The Montauk Library is participating in “The Great Giveback” from October 1—31. The library will be collecting new pet supplies for ARF, non-perishable food items for the Montauk Food Pantry, new toiletry items for The Retreat, and used glasses for the Lions Club. Patrons can drop their donations in the labeled bins at the Library. For more information, call 631-668-3377.

FARMER’S MARKET FRIDAYS
The popular Farmer’s Market on the village green will continue to run on Fridays, from 9am—2pm, through November 19th. Farmer’s Market vendors will also participate in the Fall Festival, Oct. 9—10, with booths lining the street both days.

MONTAUK VOTING INFORMATION
Tuesday, September 28 is National Voter Registration Day. To mark the day, the League of Women Voters will host information tables in Montauk at the Post Office from 10am—12 noon and at the Library from 11am—1pm. Registration forms, absentee ballot applications, and informational materials will be on hand.
