Out There: A National Parks Story follows a young filmmaker and his childhood friend on a 10,000-mile road trip through America’s national parks during the centennial of the National Park Service. What begins as a search for awe-inspiring landscapes evolves into a deeper journey that uncovers the human stories embedded in these wild places.

Blending stunning cinematography with archival travelogues, posters, and maps, Out There is both a tribute to the enduring legacy of the parks and a call to recognize the human presence that gives them meaning. It invites us to see these places not just as landscapes, but as living stories, reflecting on our own role in their preservation.

Join Doug for a crash-course in micro-budget filmmaking! Participants will learn to write, act, direct, manage lighting (cinematography) and sound, edit, and finally produce a short film in just three days. You’ll be shooting on location around the North Fork on iPhones and editing with Adobe software. Show off your hard work with a special screening on Friday, July 31 at 7:30 p.m. Each day starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. with an hour break from 2-3 p.m.

The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5,” and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Woody (voice of Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen), Jessie (voice of Joan Cusack) and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad (voice of Greta Lee), a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. Will playtime ever be the same? “Toy Story 5” is directed by Academy Award winner Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris, produced by Lindsey Collins, p.g.a., and written by Stanton and Harris. The film features an original score by Oscar winner Randy Newman, who returns to score his fifth “Toy Story” feature. “Toy Story 5” releases exclusively in theaters June 19, 2026.
