The July Tesla Birthday events

are rescheduled to Sept. 16-17

Friends, due to the unavoidable circumstances explained below,

we rescheduled the July 15-16 Tesla Birthday events

to September 16-17.

Last week, Greg Leyh packed his 4-story Tesla coil into a diesel truck and left California to begin the cross-country journey to Wardenclyffe for the July Tesla Birthday events. Late last Saturday, the truck broke down in Needles, CA, with a busted fuel pump. Since then, Greg and our team exhausted every option to find either a replacement vehicle or the required tools, parts and resources needed to fix it in time. On Monday we made the tough decision to delay the Tesla Birthday events to September and focused on spreading the word–and getting Greg home. He was stuck in 110-degree temps with his truck and equipment in a rural area with little access to transportation, resources or even lodging. With the help of supporters, Greg was finally able to make it to a motel where he could navigate the logistics of a return trip.

The copper lining here is that Greg Leyh will bring the 40-foot Tesla coil to Wardenclyffe for shows on September 16 and 17!  Ticketholders for the July events can either transfer their tickets or receive a full refund (you’ll receive a separate email with instructions).

Our Sponsors, Volunteers, Exhibitors, Board and Staff are stepping forward with their support and the general consensus is that this is a chance to bring even more people together to experience the largest portable Tesla Coil on the planet along with more exhibits, radio, robotics, maker and innovator displays, Tesla cars, neon art, music, etc.

Honoring Nikola Tesla’s life and work with an annual celebration for our supporters is a tradition we take very seriously. Thank you to all who are standing by to help electrify the September 16 and 17 Tesla Birthday events:  Greg Leyh and Team, Sponsors, Volunteers, Exhibitors and Guests!  We hope you join us.
