Celebrate the art of one of Mexico’s most famous artist — Frida Kahlo — beloved worldwide. Discover how she told the dramatic story of her life in amazing paintings. Then create your own picture story that tells a memory in your life in an imaginative way.

TARE IT UP! Lee Krasner Collage Workshop

Discover Lee Krasner’s monumental collages made by ripping, cutting, gluing, and painting back into her former works to create new compositions. Joyce Raimondo will then demonstrate collage techniques as participants work alongside each other on Zoom. Have supplies on hand for your project: one sheet of paper, scissors, glue, and a surface for your art such as paper, board, canvas, paint, or drawing supplies.

LET IT FLOW! Helen Frankenthaler and Lynda Benglis Workshop
Thursday, March 5, 12:00pm – 1:15pm (EST)
Pour it! Stain it! Drip It! This workshop celebrates the work of two pioneering women — painter, Helen Frankenthaler, and sculptor, Lynda Benglis, who employed pouring techniques to create groundbreaking colorful masterpieces of abstract art. Following, pour liquid paint to create your own abstract artwork.
Have paint supplies on hand such as liquid acrylic, watercolor, or house paint, surface for your painting such as canvas or heavy paper, cups, and sticks. Optional; liquid glue.

INFINITE CREATIVITY: Yayoi Kusama Workshop

Celebrate the work of Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama who is the top-selling female artist today. Kusama’s obsessive and repetitive processes transport the viewer to a cosmic world of infinity. Her vast creativity includes sculpture, painting, performance, video art, fashion, and installation. Following the presentation, create an artwork that expresses your vision of infinity.
