FLOWERS INTO PAINT – Georgia O’Keefe

Flowers that burst into color! Based on the work of popular American artist, Georgia O’Keefe, we will design beautiful floral paintings that are larger than life. We will begin with a presentation of O’Keefe’s work, followed with a related painting project.
Have paint supplies on hand, a pencil, and a flower or photograph that inspires you.

Art of Recovery
Wednesday, April 30, 2:00pm – 3:00pm (EDT)
This session is designed to dispel myths about substance abuse and creativity. Joyce Raimondo presents Jackson Pollock’s alcoholism and its impact on his art and life. Pollock and his passenger Edith Metzger’s deaths were caused by a car accident as a result of Pollock driving while intoxicated in 1956. Following the art presentation, Joyce will discuss resources for recovery from alcoholism, and participants are invited to share art that addresses recovery from substance abuse.

Who Am I? Self Portrait Workshop
Thursday, May 1, 2:00pm – 3:00pm (EDT)
How do artists Pollock, Krasner, Picasso, Miro and others express their inner life in self-portraits? Following a presentation and tour of the Pollock-Krasner barn studio, participants will create expressive self-portraits working alongside Joyce Raimondo live on Zoom. Have drawing supplies on hand.
