Explore Another Justice: US is Them—Hank Willis Thomas | For Freedoms, featuring the new work of 12 contemporary artists from For Freedoms—the artist collective co-founded by Hank Willis Thomas with the mission to model and increase creative civic engagement, discourse, and direct action.

Presented in the Parrish galleries, outdoors in the Meadow, and as digital billboards on the Shinnecock Monuments on Sunrise Highway, the exhibition features mixed media, sculpture, site-responsive installation, wall painting, and photography—much of which was created specifically for the exhibition.

The exhibition is a call to the community to reconvene and reconsider the meaning of justice in a time of imbalance. In an ongoing partnership between the Parrish and The Watermill Center, For Freedoms will be in residency at the Center as Inga Maren Otto Fellows from September 14 to October 7.

The Parrish Art Museum’s exhibitions and programs are made possible, in part, by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and by the property taxpayers, from the Southampton Union Free School District and the Tuckahoe Common School District.
