In an informal lunchtime talk, Alicia G. Longwell, Ph.D, Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Chief Curator, will discuss how Johns experimented with unusual tools for making marks on his canvases and drawings. The artist even used his own body to make imprints—a more direct way of adding his “touch.”
