New Farmstand Opens at Charnews Farm!
We are excited to announce that this coming season, Charnews Farm will open the doors to our brand-new farmstand!
Located on Youngs Avenue, off County Road 48 in Southold, this charming wooden barn will showcase fresh local crops grown by farmers participating in our Farms for the Future Initiative.
The Peconic Land Trust started this program to support local farmers facing numerous challenges, such as intense development pressures, rising real estate values, a decline in food production farming, and a lack of affordable farmland with proper infrastructure. The farmstand represents an important step in helping our farmers establish a financially viable career.
Be sure to stop by in April to explore our local produce!
