Small Tool Sharpening & Repair Workshop

Saturday, May 4th
9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
Bridge Gardens, 36 Mitchell Lane, Bridgehampton
Led by Jackson Dodds, Certified Arborist and owner of Jackson Dodds & Company, you will learn how to properly sharpen tools such as hand pruners, hand saws, trowels, spades, as well as tips on proper maintenance and repair during the season.
$5/person, free for Bridge Gardens Members. Rain or shine.

Starting a Kitchen Garden

Join the Trust’s Denise Markut for a workshop on sourcing and selecting quality and unique varieties of seeds and transplants, best practices for prepping a garden, when to plant, improving soil, and tips on growing in a raised bed or small garden space.

Square Foot Gardening Workshop

Led by Square Foot Gardening Foundation’s Certified Instructor and Master Gardener, Reese Michaels, you’ll learn how to lay out and construct your garden to maximize production and minimize space, select and plant seeds and seedlings, all with virtually no weeding required!

Stewardship Day at the Farm

Saturday, May 18th

Quail Hill Farm
Deep Lane, Amagansett
Work side by side with the farm’s Acting Director Layton Guenther and move tender seedlings into the fertile soils at the farm. Help your children gain new appreciation for tasty fresh vegetables as they dig in the earth and plant this year’s vegetable and herb crops.

Botanical Art in the Herb Garden

Saturday, May 18th
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Ag Center at Charnews Farm
3005 Youngs Avenue, Southold
Herbalist Heather Cusack and artist Melissa Hyatt will teach you the botanical parts of each plant, then guide you in sketching in the garden. Return to the barn and apply watercolor paints under Melissa’s guidance while enjoying herb tea.
$25/person plus $20 materials fee. Bring sketchbook and drawing materials, watercolor supplies provided. Prepaid reservations required by May 5. Rain or shine.

Spring Flower Tour

It’s National Public Gardens Week, and the perfect time to explore Bridge Gardens! Enjoy a guided walk led by Garden Manager Rick Bogusch and Master Gardener Nancy Gilbert. Explore the herb and vegetable gardens, the large rose garden, water feature, community garden plots, and more.

Expert lawn care advice is at hand — Paul Wagner of Greener Pastures Organics returns to Bridge Gardens every Tuesday, to provide Free Lawn and Landscape Advice.
