See stars that explode in a night sky like fireworks. Watch a mobile inspired by the cosmos as it moves. Discover how modern artists Vincent van Gogh, Alexander Calder, Jackson Pollock, and others were inspired by the awe of the cosmic realm and the night sky. Then paint or draw your own cosmic or nighttime vision.

The Toxic Garden: with guest artist Roy Nicholson

 Using material in his Sag Harbor garden as his subject matter, Roy Nicholson has created a long-running series based on beautiful but dangerous plants. He will show examples of his “Toxic Garden” paintings and prints and discuss his more general approach to nature-derived imagery. Roy Nicholson was born in Cambridge, England, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1974. After settling in Sag Harbor, New York in 1977, he has exhibited widely in this country and abroad, and his work is in many public and private collections. His public works include mosaics and glass pieces for Union Station in Los Angeles and the Hicksville Long Island Rail Road station.
