Gallery North’s Annual Wet Paint Festival

Comes to Sherwood-Jayne Farm!

When: Saturday, June 4–Sunday, June 5, 2022. (Rain date: June 18 & 19)
Where: Sherwood-Jayne Farm, 55 Old Post Road, East Setauket, NY
Cost: Sherwood-Jayne House tours are FREE and open to the public. There is a fee and registration requirement for participating artists. 
Join Gallery North for a two-day outdoor art festival on the grounds of our historic Sherwood-Jayne Farm. The house museum will be open for FREE curator-led tours and festival visitors can watch artists paint, discover their local history, learn about nature and listen to live music!

Special Program:
Intersection of Poet Jupiter Hammon and Long Island History
When: Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM
Where: Walt Whitman Birthplace Association
As part of the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association’s African American Voices of Democracy Series, Lauren Brincat, Curator, Preservation Long Island, will be a featured speaker at a session focusing on the poet Jupiter Hammon. The program’s other presenters include Huntington Town Historian and author of Slavery in Huntington and Its Abolition, Robert Hughes, and the poet David Mills.

Join Curatorial Fellow, Peter Fedoryk, for a guided tour of Looking for Lange, a pop-up exhibition featuring original artworks by Edward Lange (1846–1912). Pop-up Exhibition Extended to August 28th!
Visit our Headquarter’s Exhibition Gallery on Main Street in Cold Spring Harbor from Friday–Sunday 11 AM to 4 PM, to view original paintings in our collection by Edward Lange (1846–1912), who painted Long Island homesteads, businesses, railroad depots, and harbor front in precise detail during the 1870s and 80s.
