Preserving the Present:

Collecting in the Time of COVID-19

We at Preservation Long Island are inspired by the resilience and dedication of our communities amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As the regional organization dedicated to preserving Long Island’s diverse cultural heritage, we have launched an initiative to build a collection around the art, objects, and stories that uniquely reflect this historic moment.
Visit our  Preserving the Present webpage to find out how to share images or stories via social media or complete an online form to submit items for this collection.

Planning for the Future

Our colleagues at the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation have asked us to share their survey with our members and e-news subscribers. All responses in this survey will be used to help inform the 2021-2025 State Historic Preservation Plan.

New York’s State Historic Preservation Office helps communities identify, evaluate, preserve, and revitalize their historic, archeological, and cultural resources.

Survey open through June 15, 2020
