~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks to your support and friendship, we have had an incredible 50th Anniversary year. We presented critically acclaimed exhibitions by Christine Sun Kim, Suzanne Lacy, Stephanie Dinkins, Xaviera Simmons, and Charisse Pearlina Weston. We celebrated the installation of six newly commissioned permanent public artworks at Delta Air Lines new Terminal C at LaGuardia Airport. We have launched a new, more accessible website, unveiled an exciting brand refresh, and inaugurated the Queens Teens Institute for Art and Social Justice. We welcomed audiences for public programs and cultural celebrations, including an ASL Slam, Lunar New Year, Inti Raymi Sun Festival, Day of the Dead, and the weekly Cultural Food Pantry, serving hundreds of local families each week since June 2020. As we look to the year ahead we are thrilled to present exhibitions by artists Tracey Rose, Aliza Nisenbaum, Aki Sasamoto, Sonia Louise Davis, and Emilie Louise Gossiaux in 2023. And, we will continue our ongoing work with our In Situ Fellows: Cameron A. Granger, Nsenga Knight, and Catalina Schliebener Muñoz, and our cultural partners to make the Queens Museum an inclusive, accessible, and exciting organization and Museum.
Your support will help us to achieve and allow us to continue to offer education and cultural programming, rent-free artist studios, and free admission, in the year ahead.
Please consider a year-end donation today to help us build the impact of the Queens Museum’s exhibitions, education, and programs.
Queridxs amigxs,
Gracias a su apoyo y a su amistad, hemos disfrutado de un 50 aniversario increíble este año. Presentamos las exposiciones aclamadas por la crítica de Christine Sun Kim, Suzanne Lacy, Stephanie Dinkins, Xaviera Simmons, y Charisse Pearlina Weston. Celebramos la instalación de seis nuevas obras de arte públicas permanentes en la nueva Terminal C de Delta Air Lines en el aeropuerto de LaGuardia. Hemos estrenado un sitio web, más accesible. Hemos presentado una interesante renovación de nuestra marca e inaugurado el Instituto de Arte y Justicia Social de Queens Teens. Recibimos a lxs participantxs de los programas públicos y celebraciones culturales, incluidos un Slam ASL, el Año Nuevo Lunar, el festival solar Inti Raymi, el Día de Muertos y el punto cultural de distribución de alimentos, que se celebra semanalmente y que alimenta a cientos de familias locales desde junio de 2020.
Ahora que miramos hacia el año que viene, estamos encantadxs de presentar exposiciones de lxs artistas Tracey Rose, Aliza Nisenbaum, Aki Sasamoto, Sonia Louise Davis y Emilie Louise Gossiaux en 2023. Además, continuaremos trabajando con nuestrxs becarixs In Situ: Cameron A. Granger, Nsenga Knight y Catalina Schliebener Muñoz, así como con nuestrxs socixs culturales para convertir el Queens Museum en una organización y museo inclusivo, accesible y emocionante.
Su apoyo nos ayudará a lograrlo, y nos permitirá seguir ofreciéndoles una programación educativa y cultural, estudios artísticos gratuitos y acceso gratuito este año que va a comenzar.
Considere realizar una donación de fin de año hoy mismo para que podamos reforzar el impacto de las exposiciones y programas educativos del Queens Museum.
Gracias por seguir apoyando al Museo. Estoy deseando volver a verles en nuestras exposiciones y programas el año que viene.
