SYDNEY SHEN: STRANGE BUT TRUE
Open through August 22, 2021
————

Sydney Shen creates sculptures and environments that commingle historical and contemporary symbols. For her newly commissioned solo exhibition, Strange But True, the artist takes a look at flawed methodologies used to construct truth. This immersive installation focuses on the ways photography has served and shaped our voyeuristic sensibilities, occupying an ambivalent position between “scientific facts” and “subjective entertainment.”

————
