Wasps have a serious PR problem.

While bees are celebrated by kids, conservationists, and farmers alike, wasps are largely loathed. But the ones most people know—yellow jackets, paper wasps, and hornets—represent only a tiny, aggressive sliver of an enormous, fascinating family. With over 150,000 species identified so far, wasps are among the most diverse, dazzling, and ecologically important creatures on Earth. From stealthy parasitoids to fierce insect predators, they play a vital role in natural and agricultural ecosystems.

Join Jared Dyer, Cornell Cooperative’s Entomology Specialist, to venture beyond the sting to explore the secret lives of wasps—and discover why these misunderstood insects deserve a spot on nature’s A-list.

$5 per person.
