SAC: Book Launch: Libedinsky’s ‘Downhill: A Memoir of an Accident, Two Comas … Starting Over’ / 9.26th

Join us Saturday, September 26 at 4 PM for the book launch of Downhill: A Memoir of an Accident, Two Comas, Many Books, and Starting Over with journalist and author Juana Libedinsky.

When a devastating skiing accident in the Patagonian Andes leaves Conrado, a New York lawyer and Libedinsky’s husband, in a coma, Juana and their two children’s lives are upended overnight. Downhill follows their journey through Buenos Aires, Manhattan, and Southampton as they navigate recovery, family, community, and rebuilding their lives.

Much of the memoir unfolds in Southampton, where friends, neighbors, ocean swimming, tennis, and books become important anchors for the family. Told with the sharp eye of a seasoned reporter and dry humor, Downhill is ultimately a story of love, family, resilience, and finding a way forward.
