You’re invited to the opening reception of Contained Movement, a new exhibition curated by Leila Heller, Simone Levinson, Christine Mack, and Christina Strassfield.
Join us on Saturday, July 25 from 5–7 PM for an evening celebrating the opening of this dynamic exhibition, which explores the relationship between stillness and motion, restraint and release. Contained Movement brings together sculptures by Kiki Smith, Richard Hudson, Mia Fonssagrives Solow, Anton Bakker, Katya Emelyanova, Arthur Carter, Rachel Lee Hovnanian, John Clement, and Leo Orta, examining how energy and movement can exist within form, even when the object itself appears still.
Through a range of materials and forms, the exhibition reveals the power of suggestion, balance, and transformation.
Experience these works firsthand during the opening reception and discover how sculpture can hold movement in a state of continuous suspension.
