We hope you will join us for the opening reception of The Story of America: 1776–2026 on Saturday, May 23 from 5-7 PM! Step into 250 years of American history, exploring presidential campaigns, patriotic symbols, and the ideals that have shaped our nation.
The exhibition runs May 23–July 18, 2026, featuring unique objects from the Museum of Democracy’s Wright Family Collection, including the original flag flown at George Washington’s inauguration, 1850s political torchlight parade torches, and 1960s paper campaign dresses. These artifacts bring to life the leaders, movements, and moments that have defined and redefined American democracy.
Presented in partnership with the Museum of Democracy Wright Family Collection and the Robert D.L. Gardiner Foundation, this is a historic exhibition you won’t want to miss.
