At Goodale Farms they value traditional farming and believe that fresh, local, and seasonal food is best for their customers. The Goodale family has been farming the East End of Long Island since the mid-1800s.

They chose to continue the family farming tradition because they wanted to provide the community with a better alternative to mass-produced store-bought food. Knowing where your food comes from and how it has been processed has been a driving force on the farm.

Stars Cafe, a 15 year-old staple on Shelter Island, is run by Pepe Martinez and his wife Lydia Martinez Majdišová. They are open 364 days a year!This popular spot for casual get-togethers offers freshly brewed organic coffee, hot out-of-the-oven muffins and croissants, and full breakfast and lunch.With warming soups in the winter, and fresh salads and refreshing iced coffees in the summer, this café is an important part of Island life; a place where people gather to catch up, and to meet new friends.
