Building History: Halsey House Tour

Thursday, June 26

11am – 12pm

& 2pm – 3pm

Join us to trace the evolution of Halsey House across four centuries. Discover its beginnings as a 17th-century homestead, remodeling into a 18th-century village residence, and later transformation into a Gilded Age guest house. Explore the building’s extensive restoration by the Southampton History Museum in the 1950s with the help of Henry Francis du Pont (founder of the Winterthur Museum). Learn about the museum’s ongoing work to protect and preserve this important historic treasure for generations to come!

Halsey House Gala

Saturday, July 5

5:30pm – 8pm

Spend an evening on the grounds of one of the oldest dwellings in New York State while dancing under the stars to live music. Enjoy a selection of exquisite hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a raw bar stocked with local oysters in addition to our specially curated Silent Auction.

Family Legacy: Halsey House Tour

Step back in time and explore the remarkable story of the Halsey family, one of Southampton’s founding families. This tour shines a spotlight on Thomas Halsey Sr., who arrived from England in 1640 with his wife and four children to help establish the new settlement.
