Ring in the New Year with Local Bread Bakers!

————————–
Happy New Year to all! Here at Slow Food East End, we are already excited for what this year holds.
———
We’re kicking things off with a return to our virtual Chef Series on Sunday, January 16 with SFEE board member, David Chaffin, who created the recipe for our Flour Power bread. David is an expert bread maker who has worked for bakeries such as the renowned New York City bakery Amy’s Bread. He will be joined by Ana Burcroff, owner, founder, and baker of Jamesport Sourdough and Coffee Co. Ana and her husband brought their love of sourdough from Seattle to the North Fork, and during the pandemic have begun to sell their sourdough throughout the East End to great acclaim.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, January 16 and stay tuned for more details and registration in your inbox!
———
We are also looking forward to what else is in store this year. From more Walk & Wines to Chef Series, we will continue to gather in-person and virtually. Thanks to your continued support our community programs from Flour Power to our School Garden Project continue to grow and strengthen our local food systems. Make sure you follow us on Instagram and Facebook to keep up to date – and if you know someone who would want to become involved in our Slow Food movement on the East End, please share our newsletter with them!
