Jamesport Sourdough
and the Peconic Community School
made magic happen…
———————–
We are so grateful to the children at Peconic Community school along with Jamesport Sourdough and Coffee Co for baking nearly three dozen loaves of bread to be distributed to local food pantries for our Flour Power community baking initiative!
————–
It’s hard to decide who is more amazing — Ana at Jamesport Sourdough or the incredible young bakers at the Peconic Community School. To both we all owe a big thanks!
————–
Tis the season to say thanks to our amazing Flour Power baking community and welcome to our young bakers. With your generous help we are able to distribute needed and beloved freshly baked bread to food pantries on the East End.

Thanks to our amazing bakers SFEE is able to distribute much needed loaves to local food pantries on the East End. This is the time of year when many families need our help the most — there are more expenses and the cold weather brings many outdoor workers inside. Each loaf brings so much nourishment, so let’s dig deep and shuffle our busy schedules around so that we can bake even more bread than usual!

Latke Making & Chanukah Celebration.
|
|
————–
Come celebrate the Chanukah season Slow Food style at Canoe Place Inn, an historic inn established in1697 located on the Shinnecock Canal in Hampton Bays. Newly restored, the kitchen of this gorgeous inn is helmed by Executive Chef Ulfet Ralph. Chef Ulfet is opening her kitchen for an intimate hands-on lesson making latke & rustic applesauce — you’ll learn how to grate, mix and season organic Sagaponack potatoes and homemade applesauce from Indian Neck apples. The lesson will be followed by a delicious three course holiday menu paired with wine. Dinner will be served in The Study, a comfortably chic private dining room with a wood burning fireplace that will be festively dressed to the nines for the holidays.
*************************
This event is hosted by Canoe Place Inn & Cottages. Seating is limited so book early! Tickets are $125. Price includes lesson, a three-course meal plus wine pairing, gratuity and tax. This will be a delicious way to toast the holidays and do some good, a portion of all tickets sold will be donated by Canoe Place to Slow Food East End Feed the Forks initiatives.
