Since 2004 Slow Food East End has awarded over 30 Snail of Approval awards to East End businesses. Our awardees are noteworthy members of our East End food network and includes slow minded eateries, sustainable farms, growers and food producers plus even a couple of hospitals who’ve made notable changes in their food services. We know good food is great medicine.
On Friday June 27, Sagaponack Distillery will join the ranks of hundreds of other Snail of Approval winners world wide. All winners go through a lengthy interview and must have sustainable growing, business and community practices.
We hope to see you for our Slow Hour award ceremony and we look forward to sharing Sagaponack’s special story with you. It’s free to attend, the tasting room is open for service and one of our favorite local bands, Friday Night Traditional will be playing too!
Many of our nominations come from contacts we know but we also encourage and are happy to consider nominations from all. If you would like to nominate an East End winery, distillery, brewery, fisher, farmer, grower, restaurant, or food business that is doing great work around good, clean, and fair food click here.
