Talk: Space Craze: Exploring Space History & Science Fiction Through Artifacts
Thursday May 18 @ 7PM
Join the Hamptons Observatory and Southampton Arts Center for a free, virtual lecture presented by Dr. Margaret Weitekamp, Curator & Chair of the Space History Department at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum, who’ll speak about the history of spaceflight and space science fiction.

Studio: Figure Drawing with Linda Capello 
Fridays @ 1 PM 
MAY 19, MAY 26, JUNE 2, JUNE 9 , JUNE 23
Working from a live model, artist Linda Capello’s figure drawing workshop will explore techniques of line, mass, gesture, proportion, and foreshortening, starting with short poses and working towards one long pose. Class is limited to 10 participants, and each student will receive personal attention and detailed instruction. Dry mediums such as soft vine charcoal, conte, or graphite, and kneaded erasers, and 14″x17″ or larger pads, are requested.

Live: Job’s Pub Piano Bar Night
June 9 @ 7 PM 
Join us as we launch Piano Bar Night at Southampton Arts Center. For one night, SAC will become an East End version of your favorite NYC piano bars. Whether you are a singer or just a lover of musicals, you won’t want to miss these enjoyable evenings of song and socializing.  Bar available all night!

Ramblin’ Dan’s Freewheelin’ Band provides high energy and engaging music classes for kids 0-4 years old. Driven by playful musicality and skillful guitar work, sessions are about having fun in pressure-free and comforting atmosphere, helping kids gain confidence.

Renowned photographer Harry Benson rose to fame alongside The Beatles, having been assigned to cover their inaugural trip to the United States in 1964. With unprecedented behind-the-scenes access, Benson captured some of the most vibrant and intimate portraits ever taken of the most popular band in history. His extensive portfolio includes iconic images of Winston Churchill, Bobby Fischer, Muhammad Ali, Greta Garbo, Michael Jackson and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
