Southampton, NY — Prepare to be transported to the enchanting landscapes of Iceland through the lenses of esteemed photographers Ron Buchter of East Hampton and Keith A. Manning of Brooklyn. Their joint exhibition, aptly titled Icelandic Poetry,” is a visual celebration of Icelands captivating beauty and cultural allure. The exhibition is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, September 12th, through Sunday, October 1st, 2023, at the prestigious Southampton Cultural Center, nestled at 25 Pond Lane in Southampton, New York.


Ron Buchter, a self-taught fine art photographer with an extensive portfolio of exhibitions, brings a distinct perspective to Icelandic Poetry.” His evocative images capture the essence of Icelands natural wonders, showcasing the interplay of light, texture, and emotion in every frame.


Keith A. Manning, an accomplished award-winning photographer, weaves his deep connection with Iceland into his remarkable work. Having immersed himself in Icelands landscapes through multiple visits, Mannings photography resonates with the genuine spirit and rich narrative of the land, culture, and people.


The Icelandic Poetry exhibition promises a multi-sensory experience, allowing visitors to discover Icelands breathtaking vistas, from majestic glaciers to sweeping valleys. The exhibitions timing in early fall adds a layer of magic to the visual journey, encapsulating the transition of seasons in this remote and poetic land.


Art aficionados and the general public are invited to explore the exhibitions masterfully curated pieces. The South Hampton Cultural Center welcomes visitors from Monday to Friday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., and on weekends from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.


In the spirit of giving back to the community, a portion of the proceeds from the Icelandic Poetry” exhibition will be directed towards supporting Hamptons Youth Performing Arts at the Southampton Cultural Center. This initiative seeks to nurture the artistic talents of young performers and artists within the local community.


To celebrate the exhibitions opening and honor the artists’ work, a wine and cheese reception is planned for Saturday, September 23rd, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The reception will be adorned with live classical music, enhancing the immersive experience for attendees. All individuals enthusiastic about art, culture, and the beauty of Iceland are cordially invited to attend this memorable event.
