Day After Thanksgiving Hike

Need to lose a few pounds after Thanksgiving? This hike along Big Fresh Pond will help. We will gather in the parking area of Emma Rose Elliston Park and Wildlife Refuge. The trail connects to Wolf Swamp. Local naturist April Gonzales will talk about and point out rare surviving American chestnut trees and trail leader will be Tim Corwin. This 2 hour hike is co-sponsored with the Southampton Preservation Trails Society.

Holiday Open House: Pelletreau Silver Shop

Stop by the historic jewelry shop to enjoy holiday goodies and meet our Resident Jeweler Alyssa Saccente. The Pelletreau Silver Shop was built in 1686 and is the “oldest, continuously opened trade shop in the Americas.” Holiday refreshments will be served.

The Southampton Inn is sponsoring the Southampton History Museum’s annual holiday party with bountiful appetizers and a special drink prepared by the gourmet staff at Claude’s Restaurant. A silent auction of tabletop holiday trees, created by well-known designers, will be offered along with a traditional sing-a-long.

New Year’s Day Hike at Mulvihill

Need some fresh air after last night’s reverie? A 4-mile hike takes place on moderately hilly terrain in one of the most beautiful preserves on eastern Long Island. See glacial erratics, Mulvihill Pond, streams and vernal ponds, and one of the oldest American Beech Trees on Long Island. This 2-hour hike is co-sponsored with the Southampton Preservation Trails Society and led by Tim Corwin, (631) 204-7821.
