Historical Museum

Southold Historical Museum invites artists to submit work for our Ten Squared online exhibit and sale this winter. The theme, Nature’s Embrace, celebrates the comfort and inspiration we find in the natural world.

This non-juried show accepts up to three 10” x 10” pieces per artist. Each work will be sold for $100, with 50% going to the artist and 50% supporting the museum.

Deadline: Finished works and submission forms are due Oct. 27–31. All mediums welcome. The online exhibit and sale runs Nov. 12–Dec. 12, perfect for holiday gift shopping.

Southold Historical Museum warmly invites all 2025 volunteers to a special Volunteer Breakfast on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Southold (please note our new venue).

Celebrate a morning dedicated to you, our amazing volunteers, with remarks from Board President John Barnes and Executive Director Darren St. George. A delicious buffet will be served.

This private event is our heartfelt way of saying thank you for your incredible support and dedication throughout 2025.

Would you consider donating some of your fine, gently used items if you are looking to de-clutter. Our office in the Prince Building, 54325 Main Road, takes donations 10am – 2pm, Monday through Friday, or the Treasure Exchange is open 10am – 4pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and Saturdays 12pm – 4pm.

Please do not leave any items at the door. Some of the items we appreciate include home decor, kitchenware, jewelry, antiques, vintage toys, fashion accessories. All sales support the mission of the Museum.
