Come find beautiful vintage treasures for your upcoming gatherings, or find lovely decor items, children’s toys, accessories, and gift ideas.

The Treasure Exchange and Museum Gift Shop are both open: Mon. – Wed., 10 AM – 2 PM; Thurs., Fri., 10 AM – 4 PM; and Sat., 12 PM – 4 PM.

Come see why Treasure Exchange is consistently chosen as Dan’s Papers pick for the “Best of the Best” shop of its kind on the North Fork!

Finished works are due with submission forms to Southold Historical Museum the week of Oct. 27 – Oct. 31. All mediums are accepted. Limit of three submissions. Please email art@southoldhistorical.org for artist inquiries or call 631.765.5500. The online exhibit and sale will be Nov. 12 – Dec. 12, just in time for holiday gift shopping.

Collections Corner: Tug Boat

————————

Did you know that this attractive tug boat in our collection is more than just a model? It’s actually a working steam powered boat. It is constructed of wood and was handmade by William Benjamin Wells when he was 17 years old.

The item was generously donated by Mary Wells Jones (his daughter) and Robert Jones. There is an accompanying photo of William holding the model when he was a young man that was donated by David Wells (his grandson). The model was built in 1907.
