Step into history this summer as Southold Historical Museum opens for the season this weekend, May 23 and 24 with special exhibits, events, and interactive experiences commemorating America’s 250th anniversary and the North Fork’s role in the Revolutionary War.
From Memorial Day weekend through mid-September, visitors can explore:
• The American Revolution in Southold special exhibit at the Maple Lane Campus, weekends 1PM – 4PM.
• Maritime Stealth in Southold During the American Revolution at the Nautical Museum at Horton Point Lighthouse, weekends, 11:30AM – 4PM.
• The Red, White & Blue Quilt Exhibit at Maple Lane Campus on Saturdays in July.
Admission includes all Museum locations and exhibits.
Visitors can also take part in the “Redcoats & Rebels” Long Island History Hunt challenge at Maple Lane Campus from May 23 through September 30.
Plus, there will be special lectures and events all summer, including a Living History Revolutionary Encampment — July 11, 10 AM–3 PM (free admission) celebrating America’s birthday.
Southold Historical Museum is proud to participate in the Suffolk County 250th Passport program. Visitors may also pick up a commemorative passport stamp at 54325 Main Road, Southold.
