Celebrate fifty years of Long Island winemaking with Southold Historical Museum and Pellegrini Vineyards! Please join us for “Wine by the Vines” on Thursday, October 19, from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm.

This popular event at Pellegrini Vineyards in Cutchogue promises an afternoon filled with fine wine, delectable food, and great company amidst the beautiful vines on the North Fork. For just $60, you will get to taste several Pellegrini wines, and enjoy gourmet sandwiches and sweets.

Jesse L. Case, apparently wondered who had jurisdiction over Robins Island – the Town of Southold or the Town of Shelter Island. In late 1894 or early 1895, he posed the question to the Secretary of State of New York.

The answer arrived in February 1895, that as far as the state could figure out the Town of Southold had jurisdiction of the island because our charter said, “Including all necks of land and Islands within the afore described bounds and limits.”
