We invite you to take a closer look at this image of the Main Road facing east. Notice the two pathways on the far left of the image. One is a sidewalk and the other closer to the road is the bicycle path that ran alongside the Main Road.
———
While we are not sure if the path ran the whole length of the Main Road in town, we know it existed as far as Peconic.

If you missed the recent live presentation “The Wickham Family’s Farming Tradition” with Tom Wickham you can listen to the audio on our YouTube channel.
———
The lecture was the first in our Winter Lecture Series sponsored by NOFO Real Estate. A large crowd attended the event where Mr. Wickham gave a knowledgeable lecture about the region and the Wickham family’s long farming history. Lively discussion followed on the challenges and opportunities facing farmers today.

We were thrilled to receive an inquiry from Dan Rattiner from Dan’s Papers who asked us to join him on his weekly podcast!

———
Dan was very inquisitive, asking about what’s going on up on the North Fork and at Southold Historical Museum. We discussed a wide range of topics including our historic properties, our mission, challenges we’ve faced and historic events and people of Southold. We were thankful for the opportunity!
