Last week, Southold Historical Museum was pleased to host Southold Fire Department for a special viewing of the current exhibit, “Answering the Call: The History of Southold Fire Department”.
————
On August 23, a group of volunteers perused the exhibit, which focuses on the history of Southold Fire Department and celebrates their dedication and service to our community. It was a wonderful opportunity for Southold Historical Museum and Southold Fire Department volunteers to interact; the conversation flowed naturally.
————
Many fire department members have fond memories of historic Southold while the Museum folks were eager to learn more about the good work of the department.
————
Make sure to come see the exhibit before it closes on Sept. 17.
