Note, art work is marked “Out of Stock” until the sale starts on July 1.

Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with the Ten Squared Online Art Exhibit & Sale featuring 10” x 10” works by local artists inspired by “Celebrate America — North Fork Legacy in the Spirit of 1776” coming next week.

Everyone is invited to browse the original artwork art work and consider a purchase online for $100 with proceeds benefiting both the artists and Southold Historical Museum. Explore unique interpretations of the North Fork’s role in America’s story while supporting local art and history.

Join Us for Line Dancing in the Barn Tonight with Lady T

Enjoy a fun evening of line dancing in the Reichert Family Barn led by Long Island’s own Lady T tonight, June 26 at 7 PM!

Open to all—whether you’ve never tried it or already know your way around the floor. Come on your own or with friends and family. Minimum age is 12.

Future dates: July 31, August 28.

Time: 7:00 PM

Come for one or all of the summer sessions!

Rain or shine. Space is limited; tickets available at the door. $10 members/$20 nonmembers.

Special Red, White, and Blue Textile Exhibit Starting in July

Visitors are invited to view Red, White & Blue, a special textile exhibit featuring contemporary quilts alongside vintage American flags. The display highlights the artistry, craftsmanship, and enduring symbolism of these textiles, offering a unique look at how the colors red, white, and blue have been expressed through fabric and design over time.

The limited exhibit will be Saturdays only 1PM to 4PM on July 11, 18, 25, and Aug. 1 at the Maple Lane Campus, 55200 Main Road, Southold, NY.

There will also be a special lecture titled “Red, White, and Beautiful” with mixed-media textile artist Amy Orr on Apr. 18 at 1 PM. Kindly register for the lecture.

There is an entrance fee of $5 person or $10 /family, which also includes entrance to the other special exhibits, historic buildings, and Horton Point Lighthouse Nautical Museum!

Explore the North Fork Revolutionary War Trail

Step into the stories of the Revolutionary War through a special collaboration among FIVE North Fork history organizations and museums. Together, these sites are bringing to life the experiences of the people who lived in Southold Town during the nation’s fight for independence.

This initiative focuses solely on our North Fork.

As you visit each participating museum on the North Fork Trail, you’ll discover unique exhibits, artifacts, and local stories that reveal how the Revolutionary War shaped life on the North Fork 250 years ago. Follow the trail from site to site for a deeper look at the people, places, and events that helped define the beginnings of our nation.

Each organization offers its own perspective and programming, creating a rich and engaging journey through local history. For information about hours, exhibits, and special events, please visit the participating organizations’ websites, found here:

America’s 250th anniversary is being celebrated this year, and we’re excited to be part of the festivities. This summer, explore special exhibits and events highlighting Southold’s role in the Revolutionary era.

We’re proud to participate in Suffolk County’s 250th Anniversary Passport initiative and the Redcoats and Rebels History Hunt Challenge to commemorate this significant moment in our nation’s history. We’ll also be celebrating “America’s Birthday” at a special Living History Day. Take a look at what we have planned!
