“Annie Lewis” Dedication
Friday, May 10 at 4pm
Ann Currie-Bell House
55200 Main Rd., Southold
Join us as we dedicate “Annie Lewis” a painting that is generously being gifted to Southold Historical Society by the family of “Annie Lewis” who the ship is named for. The work is done by American Maritime painter, Joseph B. Smith and is dated circa 1865. It depicts a two-mast schrooner that is sailing through the Narrows, which is the New York City maritime gateway.
