Southold Historical Society is pleased to offer an exciting family event this spring, the “Discover Southold Scavenger Hunt.” Join in the fun on Saturday, April 17, 2021(rain date is Sunday April 18). The scavenger hunt is designed for people of all ages to explore the neighborhood simultaneous to learning some tidbits about Southold’s rich history.

The only requirement is a smart phone to download the Goose Chase app. Most targets are within walking distance from each other, centered around the hamlet area. Participants will be asked to take a selfie with Albert Einstein or count how many windows are on the Thomas Moore House. This a creative way to get your friends and family outdoors and moving all while learning about the history of Southold.

The suggested donation is $25 for non-members and $20 for Southold Historical Society members. After registration, instructions on how to download the app as well as a code for accessing the scavenger hunt will be sent via email.

The scavenger hunt starts at 10am and runs through 3pm. The first, second and third place teams including names and photos will also be announced on our website, as well as on Facebook and Instagram! Get prepared to hunt for Southold’s treasures!
