Peter, Paul & Mary’s own Peter Yarrow made music history, helping create the folk revival of the 1960s with hits such as PUFF THE MAGIC DRAGON n and IF I HAD A HAMMER, among many many others. Shortly thereafter – folk-rock legend Melanie picked up the folk music mantle in the late 60s and 70s – opening Woodstock with CANDLES IN THE RAIN, and ultimately scoring her biggest hit with THE BICYCLE SONG (I Rode My Bicycle Past Your Window Last Night) – and providing the world with other hits including LOOK WHAT THEY’VE DONE TO MY SONG, MA, RUBY TUESDAY, and more.

On February 2nd, 1959, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper performed at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa. The plane crash that occurred hours later changed music history forever. The event was dubbed “The Day The Music Died” in Don McLean’s hit song, “American Pie.” Using information gathered from documentaries, books, and the memories of musicians at the show, THE NIGHT THE MUSIC LIVED recreates Buddy Holly’s last concert with utmost attention to detail and accuracy. Hailed by NY Magazine as “brilliant” and Time Out Magazine as one of its top 10 NYC Events, Live in Theater presents THE LOMBARDI CASE 1975 – based on ACTUAL historical events. To find the killer of a NYC politico’s daughter you’ll have to hit the streets as a rookie detective in the Lower East Side. The only way to catch the murderer is to delve into the local underworld and interrogate the gritty and oftentimes manic characters within. Three-course dinner included before the show. The audience is arranged in groups with other audience members to solve the murder based on background packets, staged vignettes, and direct questioning of actors who fill the theater! Combined stage performance and interaction. NOTE: This performance contains adult language and themes.

A Brother’s Revival – Allman Tribute w Former Allman Members

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of The Allman Brothers Band, two former members of that legendary band, David Goldflies (78-82) and Johnny Neel (89-90) have joined forces to launch A Brother’s Revival, honoring their former band by creating an incredible tribute show that includes the fan’s favorite songs in their original format, just as they were performed when David and Johnny were touring with Gregg, Dickey, Butch and Jaimoe. A Brother’s Revival is fortunate to feature the voice of singer Mike Kach, who formerly shared the vocal duties with Dickey Betts in his band, Dickey Betts and Great Southern. His strong, bluesy voice delivers a vocal reminiscent of Gregg’s iconic sound.
