Pop-Up Print Exhibition

during our 3rd annual Holiday Makers Market

L-R: Monotypes by Patricia Lutkins, Paige Patterson

Saturday, November 25th and Sunday

November 26th | 11 AM – 5 PM

Announcing a special new addition to our 3rd annual Holiday Makers Market! This year, a pop-up print exhibition will accompany the market, and feature the works of local artists who have participated in our monthly Monotype Printmaking workshops. Prints will range in price from $75 – $800 and will showcase some of our favorite works of the past year! Featured artists include Melinda Hackett, Laurie Hall, Patricia Lutkins, Paige Patterson, Mae Mougin, Kirsten Benfield, Tracy Dellomo, NJ Bradley, and more!

The monotype, defined as a one-of-a-kind impression, is created through the process of manipulating ink on a plate (often plexiglas) and running it through the press with archival paper. By applying smooth and consistent pressure to the plate, the image is transferred and absorbed into the fibers of the paper, resulting in a unique and often surprising print.

The Church was established in 2019 by artists Eric Fischl and April Gornik. Housed in a deconsecrated 19th-century church, its doors were opened in April 2021. Our mission is to foster creativity and to honor the living history of Sag Harbor as a maker village. The East End represents an exceptional artistic legacy, spanning the practices of indigenous art of several centuries ago, Abstract Expressionists of the mid-20th Century, and the many celebrated writers, makers, musicians, and visual artists of the recent past and current moment. Core programming includes visual art exhibitions, concerts and events, educational programming, workshops, lectures, and an artist’s residency.
