Wake up your joints and stretch into Spring as Dina K returns to the Church! Join us as Dina K. guides us through some gentle joint work and stretches that promote good posture and mobility.

“We need to first establish a conscious awareness of how we embody our physical bodies,” says Dina. “When we take full responsibility for how we think and feel in our bodies we can then start working toward a healthier, more balanced existence. Taking action from that empowered state makes it much more likely to heal and transform our being.”

Please bring a yoga mat and water bottle and wear comfortable clothing.

A heartfelt and special thank you to Dina for donating this program to The Church’s wellness program.

Aligned with our existing core programs Insight Sunday and Knowledge Friday, which provide insight into the creative processes of artists and the lives of community leaders, respectively, Wellness Monday encourages attendees to position themselves as dynamic conduits of energy and creativity and are led by an expert from the East End healing or wellness space.

The Church was established in 2019 by artists Eric Fischl and April Gornik. Housed in a deconsecrated 19th-century church, its doors were opened in April 2021. Our mission is to foster creativity and to honor the living history of Sag Harbor as a maker village. The East End represents an exceptional artistic legacy, spanning the practices of indigenous art of several centuries ago, Abstract Expressionists of the mid-20th Century, and the many celebrated writers, makers, musicians, and visual artists of the recent past and current moment. Core programming includes visual art exhibitions, concerts and events, educational programming, workshops, lectures, and an artist’s residency.

The Church’s programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
